How Yoga Leads to Contentment and Personal Development

Picture
BALANCE equals to ONE
What does yoga mean?
Yoga signifies UNITY. When two different forces are balanced, harmony arises. Balanced elements align and become one. This harmony fosters fundamental contentment in life. To achieve this, we train not only the body but also the mind

The Origins of Yoga 📜

Ancient yoga texts over thousands of years old, detail powerful techniques for personal development. Classical scriptures like the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, and the more recent Yoga Sutras of Patanjali provide guidance. The latter offers a step-by-step path to self-realization.
Modern yoga practices are based on the eight limbs described in these texts.

The Eight Limbs of Yoga Practice

  1. Yama – Ethical disciplines (external conduct)
  2. Niyama – Personal observances (internal attitude)
  3. Asana – Physical postures
  4. Pranayama – Breath control (energy regulation)
  5. Pratyahara – Withdrawal of the senses
  6. Dharana – Concentration
  7. Dhyana – Meditation
  8. Samadhi – State of unity (e.g., enlightenment)

This holistic approach enables self-realization and therapeutic use, known as Yoga Therapy.

My Style

I come from a traditional Indian Hatha and Kundalini Ashram. My style is diverse and doesn't fit into a single category; instead, it's flexible, adapting to the group, the moon, season, and time of day.
